MiFID II

The MiFID II directive, put in force in January 2018, aims to improve investor protection in the European Union. One of the components required by the directive calls for additional transparency on the financial instruments and transactions.

The European MiFID Template (EMT) was created by the European Working Group to facilitate the exchange of products information from the fund managers to their distributors. Information in the EMT includes generic product information as well as cost disclosures.

OTCFin supports the transaction cost calculations, including implicit cost calculation using PRIIPs arrival price methodology, “new funds” methodology or other practical alternatives according to the product type.
